Week 1 of 2
Tummy time with rolled towel
3× today · 2–3 minutes each
Place a small rolled towel under Luna's chest to reduce the effort needed to lift her head. This builds neck and shoulder strength while keeping tummy time achievable.
1Roll a hand towel and place it under Luna's chest, just below the armpits.
2Position her arms in front of the roll, elbows bent.
3Hold a toy at eye level to encourage her to lift and hold her head.
4Aim for 2–3 minutes. Stop if she gets upset — shorter and happy is better.
Luna tends to do better after a nap when she's calm and alert. Try it before her mid-morning feed.
Midline visual tracking
2× today · 5 minutes each
This encourages Luna to turn her head past the middle — something she avoids because of tightness on her left side. Moving slowly and gently is key.
1Hold a high-contrast toy about 30 cm from Luna's face at the centre.
2Slowly move the toy to the right — she'll likely track this easily.
3Bring back to centre, pause, then slowly move to the left.
4Repeat 5–6 times. Be patient if she resists going left — that's exactly what we're working on.
A black-and-white patterned card works better than a colourful toy — the contrast keeps her attention longer.
Supported side-lying play
1× today · 10 minutes · Left side today
Side-lying takes pressure off Luna's neck and lets her practise bringing both hands together at the middle — great for building body awareness without straining.
1Place a rolled blanket behind Luna's back so she doesn't roll backward.
2Lay her on her left side with hips and knees gently bent.
3Offer toys at midline to encourage reaching with both hands.
4Alternate sides daily — today is her left side.
Note which side feels harder for Luna and mention it at the next session — it helps Fernanda track progress.
1 of 3 done today — keep going, Sofia!
